Championing Inclusivity & Representation

Futures in Film CIC is dedicated to making the film industry more inclusive for underrepresented groups whilst providing industry partners with meaningful CSR& ESG avenues. We support underrepresented talent including faith-based, neurodivergent, and minority communities, through mentorship, training, end-to-end production experience and real-world industry placements. Our initiatives, such as Screen Sisters (which supports women of faith) and Practical Learning Modules for Neurodivergent students directly tackle the specific needs of underserved communities. We also provide fully-funded placements and accommodation for those from disconnected regions and disadvantaged socio-economic backgrounds, connecting the London-NorthWest Talent Pipeline.

Empowerment
Creating opportunities for Underrepresented Communities.

We actively empower various underrepresented communities across faiths, ethnicities, regions, neurodivergence and Women. Our Screen Sisters Programme, which is focused on women from Abrahamic faith groups, ensure equal access and representation for a highly underserved community. Screen Sisters provides a safe space, mentorship, practical workshops, and production experience for 70+ women from faith backgrounds whilst the broader Futures initiative extends this service to hundreds. Additionally, we are adopting student-led learning approaches to nurture neurodivergent talent, working with industry organisations to address barriers within the industry and provide them with meaningful avenues to fulfill CSR responsibilities.

Social Mobility
Connecting Regional Talent

We have generated over £1.125 Million in Social Impact from our pilot project- supported by £750K Investment from the Social Prosperity Fund. We are tackling regional talent development, ensuring that individuals outside of Greater London have a route into the film industry. This includes fully funded training, accommodation & transport support and on-set experiences that bridge the gap between raw talent and real industry opportunities.

Gavin Finney BSC Cinematographer & Former BSC President

It was a fully professional shoot. The way they handled the equipment, the way they approached the process—I was shocked at their ability level.

Rupert Hornstein ACO First AC

The Futures in Film initiative is really amazing. It has been able to take Academia, take Industry and really bridge them together.
